I am so excited to announce a new project in the works. I plan to bring erotic poetry and short stories to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am originally from Las Vegas, and I have been sorely disappointed in the variety of adult entertainment available here. I'm not talking silicone and pasties - I'm talking about mental nudity and a verbal strip tease. My goal is to present adult couples and singles a new form of entertainment besides heading out to the club on Saturday nights. I want them to come into a sensual, sexual atmosphere and relax. Have a few drinks, nibble on a few munchies, and then get tantalized by some slippery lit. There will be many author's showcasing their talent, performing the spoken word over soulful and moody music. It will be a night no one will soon forget! Couples can go home happy and horny, and love each other until the break of dawn, thinking about the verbal massage they have experienced!
This project is still on the ground floor. I am hoping to have all of the kinks worked out by the early part of 2007. Cross your fingers!
I am looking for authors of erotica and adult literature to contribute to the show. You may participate by sending in material and I will read it during the show, or you can come to the venue in Baton Rouge and perform your work! Authors will not be paid - this is simply an opportunity for you to get your name out there and become known in a large metropolitan city. If you are interested, please send me an email at naiomipitre@hotmail.com with any poems/short stories that you want considered. They need to be erotic and sensual, or shocking and raw, as this will be our theme. Submission does not guarantee a spot in the show. IF your material is chosen, you will be given full credit, so I would also like you to include in your email a short introduction that you would like read before your material, no longer than five sentences. If you would like to send me marketing material, such as flyers or business cards, I will display them in our lobby for the guests to peruse as they wait to be seated. Can't wait to hear from you!
I will be sending out news letters, myspace bulletins, blogs, etc. after the shows, listing which authors were showcased and what the audience reaction was to the work.
I am also looking for qualified jazz or blues musicians. The partner who I am working with will be needing the same muscians services on a regular basis to play before she conducts her dinner theatre shows as well. I need someone who is good at improvising, and who will play between authors readings and as background music to their poetry as well.
