       Excerpt from BROKEN VOWS:

Yvonne walked into an unlit home.  She heard faint music wafting from the upstairs bedroom and smiled to herself.  When she turned the corner of the hallway to head upstairs, she saw peach-scented votive  candles lining the stairway, one on each stair.  She took off her suit jacket, throwing it over her shoulder.  Looking into the bedroom, she saw that it was dark.  The music was coming from the bathroom.

“Dom?”  She called into the darkness.

“Follow the candles.”

Yvonne obliged, following the candles into the bathroom, where approximately fifteen of them were strategically placed, lighting up the area surrounding a bathtub filled with bubbles.  Dominic was sitting on the closed toilet lid in his black silk robe, holding a bowl of strawberries with a dollop of whip cream on the side.  She tilted her head and grinned at him mischievously.  It was cute, even if it was a cliché’.

“Take your clothes off, precious.”  He whispered sensually.

She began a slow striptease in front of him, dropping her clothes to the bathroom floor until only her bare honey-colored skin could be seen swaying back and forth tantalizingly to the rhythm of the music.  Dominic admired his wife’s gorgeous body, toned to perfection.  He had never been attracted to skinny women, and his wife was anything but skinny.  Although her calves were smaller and the muscles in them were sculpted, they led up to thighs that were firm and large.  She had what his mother called ‘baby-making hips’.  The curve of her buttocks sat high and sharp.  She had a stomach that any woman would die for, flat and smooth, with a belly button that begged to be flicked with an eager tongue.

“Get into the tub.”  He instructed, his voice growing raspier by the second, a sure sign that his temperature, among other things, was rising.  Stepping gingerly into the steaming water, she slid down until only her knees, neck, and head were above the soft looking mountain of bubbles.  Dominic looked at her intently as he noticed the small beads of sweat already beginning to form on her forehead.

He turned his body towards the tub, dipping a deep-red strawberry into the whip cream and feeding it to her.  Sitting up and leaning forward, Yvonne’s wet breasts emerged from the steaming water.  She licked the cream off with her tongue, slowly, looking into his eyes as she did so.  Then she parted her full, moist lips and took a small bite off the tip of the sweet piece of fruit.  His leg twitched.

Yvonne brought her hands up out of the water and cupped the bubbles in her hand, spreading it over her breasts in one seductive motion.  The music that was playing seemed to play just for her, following her movements with precise rhythm.

“How does it taste, baby?”  He asked.

“Sweet and juicy, just like you.”  Yvonne replied, lifting a smoothly shaven leg from the tub.  She slowly pointed her toe into the air, allowing the water to cascade downward.  Taking a strawberry halfway into her mouth, she leaned forward for him to bite the other end.  They met in the middle, their lips closing into a hot kiss flamed with desire.  The kiss seemed to go on and on, warming both of their bodies beyond control.  Finally, he pulled away, taking a soft sponge and beginning to wash her neck, then her back.  He gently scrubbed the length of her body, stopping to savor the most interesting areas.

“Dom…” She purred as the sponge rested naughtily in the tight crevice between her legs.

“Yvonne…” He responded, feeling her arch her back to meet his hand.  He allowed a finger to venture inside of her and relished the soft moan that it produced.  He turned his hand so that it was facing palm up, and thrust his finger as deeply as he could.  Once his top knuckle met her mound, he curled his finger as if saying ‘come here’, and felt the spongy resistance of her G-spot.  She sighed, then shuddered, pushing his hand away as she drew in a deep breath.

With a sly smile on his lips, Dom rose from the bathtub and drew a towel from the bathroom closet.  He purposefully watched her stand up, bubbles lingering carelessly on her body.  She stepped out and into the towel, which he held, taking his time to dry her thoroughly.  Dominic slid the towel between her legs over and over, allowing the friction of the cotton to stimulate her swollen clitoris.  Leading her into the bedroom, he laid her down on their golden silk sheets.  He stood over her, by the side of the bed, and took off his robe.

Yvonne let her eyes swallow his features one by one.  His rippled stomach, his broad chest, his muscled arms: they seemed to hypnotize her.  Her hands longed to stroke his erect manhood, but she knew that would come in time.  His legs reminded her of a trained thoroughbred, long and defined.  Her body shook in anticipation.  It amazed her that after all of this time, he still gave her chills when he undressed.  His naked body was like a sweet present on Christmas morning.

Dominic laid his body on top of her, and she sighed happily.  She loved feeling his massive weight above her.  It made her feel small and vulnerable, as if he could easily have his way with her if he wanted to.  Yvonne wanted to show him how much she appreciated all that he was doing for her.  It wasn’t exactly original - strawberries and a candlelit bubble bath – but it was thoughtful.

Lifting herself up, Yvonne turned him over unexpectedly.  He laughed at her aggressiveness and smiled up at her.  She laid kisses from his chest down to his cock, being sure to run his full fleshy sword between her breasts.  She flicked her tongue across the tip.

Keeping her hand on his pleasure pole, she slid it up and down rapidly, tilting his cock upwards to expose the underside.  Yvonne pushed his legs apart, placing her own body between his knees.  Dominic shuddered with anticipation, knowing what Yvonne had up her sleeve.

Yvonne’s tongue darted out quickly and licked his tight asshole.  He gasped, jumping at the sudden warm wetness.  She loved how excited this made him.  While still jacking him off with her right hand, she slipped the tip of her middle finger into his anus.  He moaned loudly.

“You like that?”  She asked sexily, her voice somewhat muffled.  Yvonne never would have thought that she would actually consider playing with a man’s ass.  Once, early on in their relationship, she accidentally brushed her finger against his butthole, and he came right on the spot.  She was amazed that this aroused him so much.  Ever since then, she utilized this secret spot of his whenever she got the chance.  He had confided in her that no other woman had ever dared to touch him there.  Dominic was too embarrassed to bring it up with any one else.  She loved that she was going where no one else had gone before!

“Ohhh…”  He replied, pushing himself up.  “Stop, you’re going to make me cum.”

“That’s the idea,” She laughed, shoving her finger deeper still.

“OH, GOD!”  Dominic cried out, pulling his body away from her grasp.

“Come here!”  Yvonne giggled, crawling towards him.  He grabbed her and tossed her onto her back.  She laughed, struggling half-heartedly.

“I know you’ve had a long day…  Now I want to give you a long night.”  Dominic laid on top of her, easily using her moistness to slip into her hot womanhood.  She hadn’t been expecting it so quickly, and moaned in delight.  In the back of her mind she wondered, what about MY foreplay?  I need more than just a bath and some strawberries.  Every time we have sex, I go down on him, but he seems to manage to avoid returning the favor.  Yvonne wasn’t able to use birth control, because anything that administered hormones caused her to get terrible migraines.  She had tried the patch, even the Nuvaring, and they all had the same effect.  Knowing he didn’t want children right now, and how much he hated the way a condom felt when they made love, she did the only thing she could think to do.  Whenever they had sex, before he came, he would let her know, and he would pull out.  She’d then go down on him, allowing him to release himself into her mouth.  Then, she would swallow.  It was her husband, after all.

When they were first beginning to date, they would talk on the phone late into the early morning hours about their sexual fantasies.  He had revealed to her that having a woman go down on him and swallow his cum would be the ultimate display of true love and trust.  She had always obliged him this request ever since he had told her that.  Her motto was that anything you won’t do for your man, another woman will.  She wouldn’t allow that to happen.  Yvonne swallowed, and told herself that it wasn’t that bad.

But why wouldn’t he ever return the favor?  It was like pulling teeth to get him to go down on her lately.  Quickly, she reasoned that she was being too particular, and decided to enjoy the moment for what it was.  He moved inside her slowly, rotating his hips and driving himself deeper inside.  She sighed heavily and let her eyes flutter closed.  She had to admit, it felt wonderful.

Biting her lip, she let out a slow, “Mmmmm….”

“You like that, baby?”  He asked raspily.

“Oh yes, Dom, yes!”  She threw her head from side to side, showing him how much he pleased her.

“Oh yeah?”  He thrust into her harder and faster now, picking up the pace gradually until they were both meeting each other with more fervor than ever before.

Yvonne clutched his shoulder blades in ecstasy, calling out his name over and over again.  This drove him wild with pleasure, encouraging him to continue with even more passion.  She clawed at him with her fingernails, knowing he loved that.  He entered her again and again, leaving them both breathless and exhausted.  His manhood felt as though it was wrapped in satin as he pumped smoothly into her.  Suddenly, she felt the familiar jerking of his body on hers and could feel his muscles pulsing as they grew taut with his final release.

“I’m… Oh God… I’m cumming, baby… Oh..  Damn…!”  Dominic bellowed, pulling himself from deep inside her.  She sat up as he led his quivering cock to her slightly parted lips.  Taking it into her mouth, she felt him expand and then she could feel the hot cum hitting the back of her throat.  She sucked him dry, savoring each drop of his bitter-tasting ambrosia.  Dominic froze for a couple of seconds, breathing deeply, then collapsed on the bed beside her.

Yvonne felt the usual twang of disappointment and the irrepressible thought of: That’s it?  But once again she dismissed those thoughts, rolling over onto the bed.  Dominic turned to face the wall and instantly fell asleep.

She got up and pulled his robe around her naked body.  Going into the bathroom, she got into the shower and turned it up extra high.  The hard pelting of the water hitting her back felt good, and as she cleansed herself, she smiled at her husband’s effort.  He had sincerely tried to give her the best night he possibly could, and she appreciated it.  She could still smell the candles burning, leaving their fragrant aroma throughout the entire house.  Yvonne’s body was still warm with sexual energy, and she felt each drop of water as though they were small liquid bolts of electricity.  The water slid down her breasts, over her nipples, down her stomach, and led to the meeting between her legs.  Her hand found its way to her honey pot, and her fingers plunged into the hot wetness.  She quickly brought herself to climax, her back pressed against the shower wall.  With her legs trembling beneath her, the force of her orgasm caused her to slide down the wall until she was sitting in the shower, letting the hot water wash over her.  She was careful to keep her head out of the water to maintain her hairstyle.

Once Yvonne had finished showering, she went about the task of blowing all of the candles out.  She entered the kitchen to fix herself a midnight snack, bringing out the bread and sandwich meat.  The telephone began to ring.  Who would be calling at this time?  She thought incredulously, fearing that it was Sandra again.

Excerpt from SEBASTIAN KNIGHT:

Sebastian’s towering legs carried him easily towards me across the wide auditorium.  I clutched Shelly’s trembling shoulders as I stood behind her.  My daughter shook uncontrollably, her little head slowly shaking back and forth in fear as he drew in closer.

I stood taller, locking my gaze upon Sebastian, attempting to pretend that I wasn’t afraid.  Everyone in this room was terrified of him.  I had been through too much to be scared.  I knew his weaknesses.  I knew what made this intimidating man cry in the middle of the night.  I would not be frightened.

There were at least two hundred people in this room:    frail old men, virile young men, women with graying hair, women with pregnant and swollen bellies.  And of course, the children!  There were lots and lots of children.  None of them made a move to stop Sebastian from approaching me.  There was plenty of time between when he stepped down gracefully from the stage and made his way through the crowd to stand in front of me, but none of these people seemed interested in accosting Sebastian.  I didn’t expect any of them to be of any help to me.

Is it a lie!?  Well?!  Is it?”  I found the strength to yell at him.  He didn’t flinch, but everyone else did.  I could see them cringing all around me.  I could feel the nervous energy fill the room.  I didn’t care.

“Sister Jordan, I think you should have a seat.”  His voice was calm and controlled.  There was no detection of malice in his words.  “Perhaps you’ve had too much to drink?”

I looked him up and down, slowly pushing Shelly first to my side, and finally behind me.  She would not be between us during this confrontation.  I couldn’t let him hurt her anymore.  Not now, not after I knew the truth.

Sebastian was six foot six inches of raw energy.  His large hands were in constant motion, flexing and drawing into fists, over and over again.  He rose up onto the balls of his feet and lowered himself down on his heels.  I stared at him, refusing to lower my eyes.  Not a drop of sweat beaded up onto his dark chocolate skin, not one wrinkle marred his crisp linen suit.  As always, he was the picture of perfection.  Cool, calm, and collected – that was his motto.  Even now, as his world threatened to crumble around him, he smiled confidently.

“You know as well as I do that I have not had anything to drink tonight.  And you also know that I speak nothing but the truth!  Can you look your congregation in their eyes and deny it?  Can you?!”  I raged, fire burning deep in my soul.  I peered around me at the questioning faces.  They knew.  We all knew.  It was just that no one had ever dared to say it before.

Sebastian looked around him.  Once his gaze fell on any of the members, they averted their eyes and looked down.  No one would stand up to him this day.  No one, but me.

I could hear Shelly crying softly behind me.  I couldn’t address her right now.  There was too much at stake.  I would wipe her tears away later.

Jordan.”  Sebastian turned his sickly sweet grin on me once again.  He spoke my name the way you would speak to a whiney child who desperately needed a nap.  “Sister Jordan.  You are tired.  It is getting late.  You have been staying up at all hours lately, helping with the studies.  I won’t hold any of this against you.  Let’s forget that these awful accusations were ever uttered.”  He winked at me, his smile never faltering.  Spinning around without another word, he returned to the stage.

“Let all troubles dissipate!”  Sebastian roared.

“Into the void!”  The crowd shouted back at him

“Let all troubles dissipate!”  He repeated, even louder than before.  My throat clenched tight, and I fought the urge to respond to him.

“Into the void!”  They answered him, their faces lighting up with smiles.  Everything was going back to normal.  They were happy to forget what I had said, not minutes before.

Sebastian gestured towards the organ player, and a blaringly loud melody poured forth.  He lifted his voice and began to sing a song of praise, and as if on cue, everyone in the room stood and sang with him.  I looked back at Shelly, who stood, tears flowing silently down her face.  She was gawking unbelievably around her, her mouth wide open.  I understood her surprise.  When someone accused someone else of the atrocities that I had just heaped upon Sebastian’s head, people weren’t supposed to stand up and sing like nothing had happened.  They were supposed to gasp and moan, clutch their hearts, and swoon.  Police were supposed to rush into the room and arrest him.

“Mommy?”  She muttered quietly, and the tears gushed forward again.   My heart broke in two.

I turned towards the stage and watched Sebastian seduce the crowd like this was a night just like every other night.  He raised his arms in worship, swaying from side to side as he sang.  His voice soothed the crowd, flowing like honey.  The scalding anger rose in my heart.  I couldn’t stand it anymore.  I wouldn’t!

Stop it!”  I screamed over the music.  No one paid me any mind.  “Stop!  Can’t you see what he’s doing!?  Can’t you see that he is just deflecting attention away from the situation at hand?!  What is wrong with you people?!  THAT MAN IS A MURDERER AND A RAPIST!

The music stopped abruptly.  Sebastian froze in his place, his arms dropping to his side.  This time, everyone did gasp.  But they were looking at me in disgust, rather than at Sebastian.  What was wrong with them?

Jordan.”  There was that tone again.  Why did he speak to me like he was my father?  “Minister Chad?  Minister Terry?  Please see that Sister Jordan is escorted to my office.  It is obvious that she has something to say to me.”

Chad and Terry were Sebastian’s “ministers of arms”.  They carried his Saga, the memoir he had penned ten years ago, the book that we used like the Christians used their Bible.  Chad carried Sebastian’s robe, and Terry also carried his wine and his golden chalice.  Now, these two huge men approached me and grabbed me on either side by my arms.  I screamed, but to no avail.  Shelly cried, falling to her knees and wrapping herself around my leg.  Chad kicked at her, and I struggled to protect my daughter.

“Sister kate, get my daughter!”  She was one of the only women I trusted in this group.  kate had never done anything against any one in my family.  She loved Shelly like her own.  “Take care of her!  No one harms her!”

I watched over my shoulder, as I was being dragged away.  The organ music began again, and I heard Sebastian’s voice soar over the notes.  kate reached down and scooped Shelly up into her arms.  Shelly was holding her head, where that brute had connected his boot to her skull.  What kind of man kicks a child in the head?  Once I saw that kate was kissing her and rocking her back and forth, I stopped fighting and allowed them to carry my limp body into the office at the back of the stage area.

There was no use in fighting, and I was emotionally and physically exhausted.  I prayed that no one would try to hurt my baby while I was dealing with the monster that called himself Sebastian Knight.

Excerpt from IN THE PANTY DRAWER - JOURNEY INTO THE MIND OF A SEXUAL WOMAN:

The next thing I knew, my face felt as though an explosion had gone off inside of the hollow in my cheek.  My eye began to swell almost immediately, and I felt dizzy and weak all at once.  Falling to the cold ceramic tile of my bathroom floor – my beautiful bathroom, with it the serene cherubs and matching cream colored towels (the pretty ones, for show only, no one was allowed to use those towels) – my head hit the side of the claw-foot tub with an audible crack.

            Everything went dark.

When I struggled back to consciousness, I was really worried.  I was hearing an incessant ringing in my ears, and that couldn’t be good.  After a few seconds, I realized that the ringing had an outside source, outside of my own aching head.  My cell phone still sat on the bathroom counter, next to sink, where I had left it before he had come home and surprised me.

Pushing myself to my hands and knees (I didn’t think I would be able to get all the way up without falling back down), I reached up blindly for the phone.  I couldn’t open my left eye at all, and I knew it was swollen shut.  If I didn’t answer the phone, I would definitely have some answering to do when he got back.  Sean hated it when I didn’t answer by the third ring.  Heaven forbid I should let the voicemail pick up.  I silently prayed that he hadn’t called me while I was out on the floor – prayed that I didn’t miss his call.

I felt the phone, and quickly pushed the TALK button by memory.  I hoped I had pushed the right one.  My words sounded disturbingly slurred when I muttered a soft, “Hello?”

“Jackie?”  The sweet voice at the other end entreated.

“Patrick.”  I said his name as calmly as possible, willing myself not to break down with relief.  In the end, I lost the battle.  I sobbed, my body finally reacting to my perilous situation.

“Baby!  Shit, what has that mother fucker done to you this time?”  Patrick’s voice was outraged, and I could picture him standing there with his hands balled into tight fists.

“Where are you?”  I managed to say around my puffed up lips.

“About two minutes from being there with you.”

“You can’t, Patrick!”  I gasped, trying to pull myself to my feet, using the bathroom counter to steady myself.  “He could come right back!”

“That’s bullshit, Jackie, and you know it.  That bastard always does this shit to you and then doesn’t come home until the next day.  You know how he feels about seeing you after he does that shit to you.  Who knows who he’s fuckin’ tonight.  He ain’t coming home.  If you’re lucky, he won’t even be there tomorrow.  You know that, after seven years married to that nigga, you know his routine.”  Patrick ranted, then when he was met with silence, he realized that he may have hurt me with his words.  “Aw, baby, I’m sorry.  He just pisses me off.  I’m on my way.  You hold on.”

“Okay.”  I sighed, and let my fingers guide me to the END button to hang up.  I tried to pry my right eye open, and when I did, the dizziness almost overcame me.  I clutched the counter with all of my strength.  Looking in the elaborate bronze framed mirror over my sink, I saw the result of Sean’s last tantrum all over my face.  The entire left side looked like a map of some hostile alien planet.  Purple and blue continents stretched over the plain of my skin from my cheek up to my eyebrow.

“Fuck.”  I touched my eye on that side and winced at the bright flash of pain.  Sean’s hands were so large that his fist covered nearly my whole face.  He had only actually punched me twice during this last fight, after grabbing me tightly by the throat so hard and so long that I had nearly passed out from lack of breath.  Remembering that, I lifted my head to get a better look at my neck.  Shit, the hand print was still a bright red where he had nearly squeezed the life from me.  Unbelievably, there was no blood.  That was good.  My carpet was a soft cream color in the bedroom, and I couldn’t risk staining it.

It sounds awful, but sometimes I got a sick satisfaction from the bruises and marks that Sean would leave on me.  The fact that my body could take so much punishment and still function amazed me.  I had lost teeth (Sean always got those fixed and replaced immediately by a dentist on his payroll), had black eyes, broken an arm and a leg (both reset by our family doctor who asked no questions, of course), and even cracked a rib, narrowly missing a fatal puncture to my lung, according to good ole Doc.  I always wondered what it would take to actually kill me or put me into a coma.  I had discovered personally over the last several years how much pain the human body could actually withstand.

Carefully, I stepped into the adjoining master bedroom.  I carried my cell phone with me.  I gingerly stepped over to the oversized California king bed.  Managing to crawl into it, I hoisted myself up onto the pillow top mattress.  The golden comforter yielded to me, and I sunk into it’s plush softness.  I must have slept there for quite a while.

The ringing was so close to my ear that it felt like someone was hammering into my skull.  Half awake, I pressed the TALK button again.

“Hello?”  I attempted to sound as though I was awake.  Then I thought I heard the doorbell, and it sounded so far away.  Even though Patrick was right about Sean never coming home after he’s hit me, he would often call me to make sure I was at home and not foolish enough to run to the police.  You would think that after seven years, he would know me better, as well.

“Baby, I’m at the door.  I been pounding and ringing this door bell for fifteen minutes.  Are you okay?  Come let me in.”  Patrick was worried; I could hear the sincere concern in his tone.

“Okay.  I’m sorry… I fell asleep.  Can you just use your key?”

If Sean would have ever found out that I had given another man the key to his home, I definitely would have ended up in the cemetery rather than back in Dr. Johansen’s office.  The thing was, this scene had played itself out over and over again, and after one of Sean’s attacks, I was rarely in the condition to trek over six thousand square feet of house to answer the front door.  I knew Patrick would never come uninvited, so I wasn’t worried about Sean finding out.

“Yeah, I’m coming.  Baby, you don’t sound so good.”  Patrick said, and suddenly I could hear him in stereo, over the phone and in my other ear.  He had made it to the bedroom so quickly.  I looked up to see him in the double French doors and managed a small smile.  Hanging up the cell phone, I laid my head back tiredly.

            “Oh, I’m okay.”

Patrick locked the door to the bedroom – I heard the click.  He might have sounded so sure about Sean not coming home, but no harm in a little extra time being bought just in case he did.  He rushed to the bed, and I closed my eyes.  I could hear him taking his shoes off, and then the rest of his clothing.  Patrick never wasted much time in getting nude when he came over.  He believed in being comfortable.

Comfortable.  That was the nice thing about Patrick.  I could be completely at ease with him around.  Patrick had seen me at my very worst.  He’d been there to mop up the snot and blood from my nose and face with tissue after tissue, towel after towel.  He’s seen me crying, my hair a rat’s nest.  He had seen me bruised and naked, or bleeding with a lumpy sweatshirt on, make up smeared across my face.  I didn’t have to put on airs with Patrick.

When my husband put on his famous parties, I spent hours as his showpiece.  I would wear the finest designer gowns, or the skankiest designer ho-wear, depending on what type of guests he had invited.  He always picked the outfit I would wear.  He even picked out the colors of my eye shadow and my lipstick for the night.  Sean would tell me what to do with my hair, whether to wear it up or down, the part on the left, the right, or center.  He’d send me to the manicurist and tell me what colors to use on my toes and hands, and how long my acrylic tips should be.  It was always about how beautiful I was, and never how smart I was.  Sure, when he had met me, I had just gotten my break doing some runway modeling for a big name designer in Manhattan, but I was also going to college.  I had planned to open my own fashion design company one day.  I sighed, remembering when I used to have dreams.

That was almost a decade ago, and seemed like more than a lifetime away.  I had gotten caught up in the wonderful world of Sean Grambling, just like everyone else always did.  What was my husband’s job, exactly?  That’s a very good question, something I still can not answer fully to this day.  He was a social “connector”.  He had all the connections.  Sean was responsible for many of the Hollywood couples ever meeting in the first place.  It was at his parties that most of the directors, actors, musicians, and agents would network.  How did he receive the money that he loved to spend?  Another mystery, and he never cared to fill me in on it.  Did I think he ever dealt in illegal drugs or weapons?  I’d bet my life on it. Patrick, on the other hand, wasn’t a mover or a shaker in the industry.  Patrick was an essential nobody.  But to me, he had become the world.  He acted like a janitor who made it his job to clean up Sean’s mess.  He was the one who kissed my wounds and wiped away the tears.  If Sean had run into Patrick on the street, he wouldn’t have even looked up.  Patrick wasn’t anyone important, no one who Sean should pay any attention to.  Sean wouldn’t give him the time of day.

Patrick was my only friend from high school.  We had been so close in those days, when I was growing up in the seedy section of Las Vegas, Nevada.  Everyone always assumed that we were a couple, which ensured that no one else ever messed with either of us.  But we never got romantic back then.  We just loved each other’s company.   We were both into fashion, and I thought that he might be gay.  I couldn’t have been more wrong.

We lost touch when I traveled out to New York to follow my dreams and subsequently married Sean.  Then there was the summer of 1999.

I had just married Sean, and he was still being fairly nice to me.  He agreed to send me back to Las Vegas to visit my mother and little sister, who I hadn’t seen in a year since I had moved to New York.  This was obviously before he started pushing me away from my family and causing a rift between us.  Back then, I could still visit them.  My sister had just had a baby girl, and I was dying to see her.  At the time, I remember thinking how sweet it was that Sean would send a jet to bring me back home.  Now, I know that it bought him a week alone with whatever bitch he was screwing back then.  Funny how hindsight is always 20/20.

I used the opportunity to show off to Mom and Tammy just how much money my new husband had.  That week, I bought my new niece more clothes, toys, and knick knacks than she ever would have needed.  I brought them to every nice restaurant I could think of, and paid my mother’s mortgage payment for the next six months.  One night, my mom decided that Tammy needed a break from the baby and offered to baby sit for her while we went out.  We went to Club RA on the strip and lo behold, who should I run into?  Good old Patrick.

He was looking as fly as ever, just as I remembered him, and it all came flooding back -  all of our late night sleepovers, giggling in my room watching School Days.  My mother had even assumed that Patrick was gay.  She never got any type of sexual vibe between the two of us, because it was purely non-existent!   When we were alone, she would ask me about him, and whether I’d like to start thinking of him as a boyfriend.  I would roll my eyes, stare at her, and we’d both bust up laughing.  It was a ridiculous notion.  Patrick was as gay as the sky was blue.

Well, Patrick wasn’t very gay at Club RA that night.  Tammy had hooked herself a fine ass dark thuggish looking thing, and they were concentrating very hard on dancing as close as possible without being inside each other’s skin.  Patrick whispered to me that he always hoped he would meet me again.  He told me how he was always a shy and awkward kid, and never had the nerve to tell me how he really felt about me.

“Patrick, I thought you were gay!”  I had giggled.

“Girl, please.  I let you and your Mama think that so that I could sleep with you in your fluffy pink bed every weekend.  Holla at a playa – that’s how I roll!”  He had laughed.

We kept in touch any time I traveled back home, and I told him about my new husband and all of his money.  We made a plan.  I would secret away some money each time Sean would give me my spending allowance, and soon I had enough to help Patrick move to Manhattan.  He quit his job with a very well known bank and decided to work with another mortgage broker close to my home.  At this point, we hadn’t begun sleeping together at all.  We had fired up those old flames of friendship, and I longed for that companionship again.  My husband knew how to show me off, fuck me until my intestines ached, and shower me with diamonds and furs, but Patrick knew how to please my mind and my spirit.  A woman needs more than a hard dick and a full wallet to be happy.

Now, Patrick lay on his back, and pulled my head over onto his chest so that I could cuddle with him.  He rubbed my hair lovingly, and I could hear his heart beating rapidly.

“Are you okay?”  I asked softly.

            “Huh?”

“Your heart… it’s beating so fast.”

“I’m alright.  Just pissed, Jackie,  that’s all.”  He sighed, still rubbing my hair thoughtfully.  “You really should let me off this bitch.  Sean needs to be taught a lesson.  I know people, man… this shit ain’t gotta continue, you know what I’m saying?”

“Shhh… Patrick, don’t talk like that.  I would never let you ruin your life just because I decided to ruin mine so long ago.  You promised that you would do things my way if I let you move out here.  You have to keep your promise.”  It was an effort for me to speak.  I reached my arm across his body and squeezed him tightly. He warmed me to the core, and I felt so safe.  That was ironic – feeling safe nuzzled up to a man other than your husband in your husband’s bed.

“Yeah, that’s what you keep telling me.”  Patrick sighed again, and I felt his chest rise and fall underneath my head.  A tear trickled from my eye, falling on him.  “Baby, don’t cry, okay?  You know how that makes me…”  He reached down and wiped my tear away with his finger.  I looked up into his soft brown eyes.

Patrick pulled away from me, and suddenly I knew that I had lost him.  He’d leave me.  He’d get up from this bed right now and walk away, and I would never see him again.  His family was in Las Vegas.  He would return there.  I couldn’t blame him; he’d had enough of my pathetic whining and pleading.  He wanted me to do something, just like my mother and my sister did, but it was never that easy.  You don’t just leave a man like Sean Grambling and live to tell about it.  It just wasn’t something you’d do.

I knew I had blown it, and I would never get the chance to kiss those tender lips again.  His lips were my favorite feature.  They were so perfectly shaped, as though God had stopped running the world for a moment to form them personally.  When he kissed me, I forgot my troubles and melted into his mouth.  And when he used those lips in other places, I completely disintegrated.

“Patrick…!”  I pleaded, ready to beg him to stay with me and not leave me here alone with this monster that I lived with.

“Yeah, beautiful?”  He said in a low voice, catching me off guard.  Patrick positioned his body over mine and held himself up on his hands, push up style.  I breathed a sigh of relief.  He wasn’t leaving!  He wasn’t going any where!  God had granted me another few precious moments to share with him.  I planned to make the most of it.

“Mmmm… “  I purred, as Patrick ground his pelvis into me.

Stay tuned for all of these projects to be released early 2007!
